Gleaners’ Mobile Pantry is a food pantry on wheels. During neighborhood distributions and natural disasters, we can take up to 10,000 pounds of food and critical grocery products directly to people in need.

The sponsoring charity designates the site where their clients can select food to take home. The Mobile Pantry is especially effective for fresh produce and frozen meat, eliminating the need for charities to handle it multiple times or store it in expensive refrigerated or frozen space.

Gleaners’ focus is the Mobile Pantry Program in counties that have less opportunity to pick up directly from the food bank, with the goal being to have the amount of food per person in poverty distributed evenly throughout central and southeastern Indiana.
